Embroidery Institute Project

The Embroidery Institute was an amazing project where I learnt a lot, not only about the local culture but also about this traditional craft which it is registered as “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Alagoas” (Brazil).

The main goal of this project was to increase public awareness of the difference between Filé embroidery and the lower-quality imitations that were often found in marketplaces and local pavilions, as well as in other areas in Brazil.

They needed a fresh new look that would appeal to their target demographic while still staying relevant to all markets. I did a complete overhaul of the User Flow and Strategy while designing them a simple and stylized interface with an uncluttered and classic feel.

This project had a large number of user needs, on top of the complete interface overhaul I helped them completely re-work the user flow of their site. Most of the work was spent mapping out the user experience, flow of the interface, recreating wireframes and reviewing content.
